The company name Sommerville Smash Repairs was purchased from a small repairer in Southport, back in 1994. From these humble beginnings with just two staff, they slowly outgrew their workshop over time and relocated to 12 O’Shea Drive Nerang in 1999. Chris continued with his passion for repairing cars, focusing on the Industries challenges whilst managing quality, cycle times and cost-effective repairs. In 2015, Chris seen an opportunity to expand again, taking ownership of the adjoining factories at 14 O’Shea Drive in Nerang.
The business was continuing to evolve, as to its employees so it was inevitable that the need to look at further acquisitions would come sooner than anticipated. In 2021 the expansion continued with taking possession of 16 O’Shea Drive giving Chris & Shari Agnew one of the largest privately owned footprints in the country, employing over 35 personnel.
